All About St. Patrick’s Day 2022 and its History

On March 17th, the festival day of St. Patrick’s, Ireland’s saint, St. Patrick’s Day is commemorated. He was kidnapped at the age of 16 and sent to Ireland as a slave via Roman Back in the late fourth century.

He managed to leave, but in 432 CE he returned to convert the whole Irish population to Christianity. He had founded monasteries, temples, and schools by the time he died on March 17, 461. Around him, numerous legends grew up. For example, he banished the snakes out of Ireland and explained the Trinity using the shamrock.

Religious services & feasts were held across Ireland to commemorate his birthday. Saint Patrick’s Day would be celebrated on March 17, 2022.
